"“We’re pleased with the fit, design, manufacture and finish of the patio door and 23 windows. Obviously, it’s all a huge improvement over the ancient, rotten and patched fenestration we inherited with the house that we bought knowing full well would require extensive renovation. Only time will tell if our initial impressions are maintained. Martin Cox is responsive and helpful, which helps smooth the process – no nasty surprises is always an excellent principle to keep to. The fitting service offered by Haden Building Services comes in for some criticism – there was an all-too-obvious emphasis on getting the job done just as soon as humanly possible, and too little attention to finish and customer care, clearing up, dust-sheeting to minimise mess, and leaving the job neatly finished ready for finish -plastering and rendering etc. On the one occasion that the senior partner worked on the project for a day there was a very different attitude, and if / when we place any further order (hopefully following planning consent on outbuildings) we would insist on selecting the staff involved. It is obviously important that manufacture and fitment are specified together (to avoid the ‘not our fault, it’s theirs’ syndrome) that’s usually offered by the more well-known double-glazing / replacement window companies.” OAKTREE MANAGEMENT COMMENTS-This Client didnt take the full fitting service and Rendering and Plastering was not requested hence the contract was not left in the normal "Finished" state that the fitters like to do "

"Oaktree did a great job, making about 25 windows, 3 French doors, a Vistafold bifold door, 2 front doors and 3 roof lanterns. Martin went out of his way to cope with my need to get all the details correct, especially regarding the bespoke design of the roof lanterns, and specific product requirements eg colour/ handles, although the multiple product dimension checking and specification sheets, unavoidable with this nature of product, are not for the faint hearted!. The products were made to a very tight time schedule to the credit of the workshop, and delivery was on time. Martin’s interaction with our builders was also very professional. Installation was by Stuart and team, and given the terrible weather conditions last December was certainly not an easy task, but they coped admirably. With such a big job, there are inevitably glitches, but all problems have been resolved satisfactorily and with a helpful attitude from Martin. "

"Although we have already left a review I thought it could not go without saying a big "Thanks"for these two recently completed bars in Stroud,most people only know Oaktree for their external Joinery products but we have had internal joinery from them including stairs and kitchens.This contract was for an Insurace claim for the Market Tavern Stroud,we had a tight timescle to fit to but Oaktree completed on time to an excellent standard.This is one of at least 100 contracts Oaktree have manufactured for us over our ten year relationship and we have always used them for our joinery requirements of all types(We have also done another review on the next review slot for a contract completed back in 2002)"

"Our house is between 200 and 250 years old. It had restored/refurbished about 15 years ago, but the existing single-glazed softwood windows and doors needed replacing. We decided to use more durable double-glazed hardwood, and wanted a window design in keeping with the look and feel of the property. We investigated a range of local suppliers and were most impressed by Oaktree Joinery; we deemed them superior for a range of reasons. Their windows incorporate all the modern features you would expect, but still have a very traditional design using, for example, side casement hinges. We also found Martin and his team to be very friendly and accommodating, and their prices to be very competitive. Stuart and his team completed the installation with a minimum of mess in half the originally predicted time. Where minor difficulties arose (it is an old house) these were taken care of easily. Post-installation a few minor adjustments had to be made; the Oaktree team completed these rapidly and efficiently. Several months on we are delighted with the new windows and doors. In conclusion, we are very pleased with the entire experience of obtaining our new windows and doors from Oaktree and are recommending them to our friends. "

I have to say that the quality of the windows downstairs are excellent and match exactly what we had in mind for a 400 year old cottage. This was important to us due to the larger nature of the windows compared to last time. The new stairs and balustrades are a great replacement for the last very unstable ones and we are again very pleased with the colour match - which wasn't easy considering the distance between us. Stuart and the two lads were efficient, friendly and I have to say completed the work in a much faster time than I was envisaging - even taking into the account that we had to watch the football too! "We needed a bespoke glazing for the entire rear elevation of our chalet bungalow that would make best use of our view and to make a design statement at the same time. The specs changed slightly during the process but Oaktree were not just reactive to these changes but proactive in offering sound advice whilst keeping an eye on the budget. When the first phase of windows were delivered I was extremely impressed with the result and when I had finished fitting the windows and doors into the space I was extremely pleased that the end result was even better than I had hoped for. There was a very slight problem with the weather beading on the French Doors but Oaktree sent over one of their joiners who put the slight problem right. I mention this because there was no hesitation from them and it is the way that an excellent company separates themselves from the pack by how they respond to problems. I cannot recommend them highly enough as a company that seems focussed on offering a very good product with an impeccable service. I will upload a picture of the finished result as soon as I have the lower elevation finished."
